The Auckland Castle Trust (ACT) was established in 2012 with the aim of owning and running Auckland Castle, the former home of the Bishops of Durham. Over the next two years, the ACT will raise money from local and national sources to restore and open up the Castle and its grounds. Our ambitions are high – and if we are to achieve them we will need to raise well over £10m to fund the restoration and redevelopment of the site.
